Sexual
harassment is a common and known harassment being observed on workplace worldwide.
It’s the most debating issue being discussed by scholars and we have a proper
published material which occupies all aspects regarding sexual harassment at
workplace.
Today
I have to discuss another type of harassment “unfair wages and late hour
workings” which badly effected work life balance of employees and create stress
at workplace as well. Employees are mostly concerned with their wages, as it’s
their fundamental right to have proper earning after putting their efforts at
job. Having a proper earning also create a sense of harmony among employees and
the organization they are working for. But it’s observed that they are not
fully awarded with fair wages and being harassed by organizations to be fired
if they asked for increments. This thing is much common in Middle
East countries, where no legislative rules defined or being
followed for employees rights.
Normally
this kind of harassment has been practices by private organizations or business
owned by sole proprietors’. Sole proprietors’ and franchises owners try to save
money in terms of wages and other benefits like, meal facility, transportation,
and other necessary allowances.
Corporate
social ethics having a new work frame after American economic recession,
multinational companies hiring new staff on contractual basis. These organizations
are also trying to hire required work force through 3rd party
outsourcing.
3rd party out sourcing cut off much
kind of extra expenses to these companies, like after job benefits, hospitably,
insurance, and travelling.
For
better work performance and marketing grip against competitors, it’s much
essential for organizations to have sympathies of employees for long run. Companies
should try to pay as work done by employee and also try to compensate with
better work performance.
I liked this blog post, it's simple, brief, and informative. I agree that employee harassment and bullying happens mostly in private sectors. It is very shameful to know that most employees keep bearing it without uttering a single word.
